This month I have been focusing on creating visually appealing pieces. Learning from my gallery visits I have focused on the topics of layering and portraiture.
These are a selected few pieces of work for which I looked at layering different materials over one another. I used paint and different paper materials. I also tried to create natural organic lines by burning into the paper, creating lines which couldn't be created in the same way again.
These items of work I tried to focus on the human form, I knew I wanted to study portraiture, however it turned into more about the whole body. I found the layers of the human form to be an interesting topic to study. The people in the drawings are mainly of myself and my brother.
